Show SHERMAN P-TA OPENS FALL MEETING SLATE Sherman school Parent-Teacher Association held its first meeting of the fall season on Friday at Sherman school. Mrs. Einar E. Hansen, P-T A president, presided. It was a "get acquainted" night with emphasis being placed on cooperation co-operation between the teacher and his pupils. C. L. Bennett, principal, introduced intro-duced the faculty members. Subject for the evening was the "modern technique of reading methods" with a discussion following. A question box was placed at the disposal of the parents so that unidentified questions could be discussed at future P-T A sessions. Program was under the direction of Mrs. Clyde B. Jensen. A quartette quar-tette composed of faculty members sang several selections. A ladies' trio consisting of Mrs. Dale Good-fellow, Good-fellow, Mrs. Melvin Cox, and Mrs. Jensen also rendered musical numbers. num-bers. They were accompanied by Miss Grace Riches. Presentation of the outstanding assistance offered by the P-TA magazine was under the supervi-sion supervi-sion of Mrs. Elmo Pack, publications publica-tions chairman. A drive is currently under way to place the magazine in every home where children attend elementary ele-mentary schools. Subscription price is $1.25 per year.
