Show GET READY FOR AUTDJOURISTS Dr. H. M. Rowe of C. of C. Roads Committee Starts Spring Work Dr. H- M. Rowe, who, ever ainco tho first foundation of the Ogden Publicity Bureau has headed its committees com-mittees on roads, has now been appointed ap-pointed chairman of the roads committee com-mittee of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce, and has already submitted a. program of work in which his committee will be actively interested. First, all the road work being done In the state of Utah, and particularly that in close proximity to Ogden, Is to bo watched with an eyo to the speeding up of the work and the careful care-ful reporting of faulty construction to tho end that t)io roads may be all that thoy arc required to be. Secondly, he Is causing the repudiation repudia-tion of certain logs which have become be-come obsolete, as for Instance those Indicating the routes from Rerto to Ogden, and from Ogden to Reno; and from Ogden to the Yellowstone park. The logs of the rond from Ogden to Cheyenne, TVyo., and from Ogden to Denver, Colo., via the Uintah valley are to be amended and republished, whilo a new log of the routo over the Arrowhead is to published shortly. Thirdly, arrangements aro to be made at once for a clean up of the Ogden city auto campaign grounds and a caretaker appointed, and cooking cook-ing arrangements made for the benefit of tourists. . At the present time the matter is being Investigated as to whether it will be advisable to build cement ovens, or install electric or gas ranges for this purposes. Cement platforms are to be built on which autos may bo placed for the purposes of washing wash-ing and cleaning, and In all probability proba-bility cement bases will be made for tourists tents. |
