Show CLOSE OF YEAR IT PRESBYTERIAN Ogden Church Gains 103 New Members, Half Being Adults c Yesterday was tho closing Sunday in the church year of the First Presbyterian Pres-byterian church of Ogden. The year has beon an exceptional one In the substantial growth of the local congregation con-gregation nnd membership. There have boon added to the local church of Ogden. Tho year has been an exceptional ex-ceptional ono in the substantial growth of tho local congregation and membership. Thorc have been added to the local church membership In the past year 10S new members. "What Is declared remarkable Is that of these 10S, more than half were adult members who entered the local church by confession of faith and of these over half wore men. There Is probably no church In the west that has received more men of mature years during tho past year into membership than the local Presbyterian Pres-byterian congregation, church officers declare. Tho finance of tho past year have surpassed In volume as well as in In regularity of payment the financial finan-cial returns of any previous year. Tho church received new members at the morning and evening services yesterday. In making the plans for the coming year the goal was set for the reception of 200 new members mem-bers during the next 12 months. Last year tho goal was 100 members and It was thought Wy many to be too high, but It has been more than met and now all arc convinced that a gain of 200 members Is a possibility In the coming year. For that goal all the membership will strive, and If It Is gained, the church will hold a ery high place among the churches not only of the Presbyterian denomination, denomin-ation, but among all churches of the land, the members declare. no |
