Show Inglewood Stake To Present Concert Here Fri. St. George Citizens Asked To Assist With All Available Housing Encouraged by the report of the Santa Barbara stake excursion to St. George in April, a similar caravan will bring between 200 and 300 L.D.S. church members from Inglewood Stake of the California L.D.S. mission to St. George over this week-end. Cars will begin to arrive early Thursday Thurs-day evening, continuing through the night, with local committees lined up to meet them and assign them to the stopping places. This will mean all available room space will be in demand for these visitors visi-tors who will attend Temple sessions ses-sions Friday and Saturday, and church services Sunday. Included in the caravan will be a junior choir who are scheduled for a concert Friday evening in the stake Tabernacle to assist in raising funds for the purchase of a pipe organ for that building. Tickets are now on sale, and while the price may seem high, Pres. Harold S. Snow explains that the ticket cost is to represent repre-sent (lie individual contributions for the organ, and the concert is a gift to the people who contribute. contri-bute. The choir members only are to be housed by the people who will be compensated for sleeping quarters quar-ters and breakfasts. Already many have offered their hospitality for the occasion. The stake Tabernacle is gaining recognition as an unusual and historic his-toric building and it is felt that; with a pipe organ will still he more suitable for the uses to which it is assigned. Many are ' taking a definite interest in this movement and the offer of their services by this California choir will add materially to the enthusiasm, enthu-siasm, it is believed, and Inglewood Ingle-wood slake is recognized for its junior choir. The members who come to these excursions follow the old pioneer system of saving through a stipulated stipu-lated season for the event, and like the previous excursions are coming prepared to meet expenses and enjoy a visit in Southern Utah as Utahn's frequently enjoy California.
