Show SPRINGDALE Mrs. Jay Crawford Mrs. Lula SeegmLIIer Reporters Mrs. Lydia Ann Burkett of San Francisco, Calif., was the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Allen T. Strunk over the week-end. Mrs. Burkett lectured in the L. D. S. chapel here Monday evening on, "How To Get the Most out of Life". She is an authority on nutrition and urges all people in America to seek good health first. Mrs. Ernest Crawford returned home Wednesday of last week from Kentucky where she has spent the past winter with her parents. Mrs. Florence D. Davis of Salt Lake City is here for a visit and to work in Allred's cafe. Donald Cottam of St. George is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Crawford. Miss Aurtie Winder has gone on a trip to Ogden wtih friends. Jay Jackson returned home Saturday Sat-urday from the B. A. C. at Cedar City and left immediately for California Cali-fornia where he has employment at the Lockheed Aircraft company. com-pany. Ward and Austin Excell are home . from San Diego, Calif., where they have been employed. Mrs. Velia Martin of San Diego is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Excell. The officers of the Y. L. M. I. A. and a few close friends gave a linen shower for Mrs. Verda C. Davis Thursday evening. Duard Millett was operated on Tuesday in the St. George hospital hos-pital for appendicitis. Howard Ruesch is home from the Iron county hospital. Mrs. Lola Gifford and daughter, daugh-ter, Delores made a trip to Salt Lake City during the week. Most of the men here are working work-ing on the slide in Zion Canyon. The Kanab Boy Scouts played baseball with the Scouts here on Tuesday. The score was 16-6 in favor of the Sprindale Scouts. Veyo CCC camp played the Springdale-Rockville team Saturday Satur-day with a score of 2-0 for Veyo. |
