Show SHORT CREEK SHORT CREEK, Oct. 20. J. E. Black made a trip to Cedar City this week after school supplies. I. W. Carling left Monday for Long Valley expecting to be gone about two weeks. He is doing carpenter work for Howard Spencer. Miss Helen Kent went out on the Kaibab forest last Saturday on a deer hunt. There were five in the party. The cowboys are all leaving today after the fall roundup. We have had frost here. It is coming com-ing earlier than it has for the - past several years. Miss Helen Kent went to Cane Beds today to spend the week end with her sister, Mrs. Hoffpauir. Mr. and Mrs. Jraes Fackrell and sen, Arthur, of Lyman, Wyoming, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Carling. Mrs. Fackrell is an aunt of Mrs. Carling. They are going to spend the winter in St. George for their son's health. |
