Show MERRY SURPRISE PARTY. Wednesday evening. April 10, a merry surprise party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. Farr, 511 Seventeenth street, the occasion being the liftieth birthday oi Mrs. Farr. The evening was very pleasantly spent in games and music and social chat and at 11 o'clock a delicious supper was served, thirty guests participating. The affair was a complete surprise to Mrs. Farr. In the dining room where the supper sup-per was served, a color scheme of pink and white was carried out with a large birthday cake as the centerpiece for the table Fifty pink and white candles set in tiny pink rosebuds adorned the cake. In the parlor a color scheme of pink and white was also carried out effectively with carnations car-nations arranged in vases. Fragrant . rosebuds in bowls and vases were used i in the dining room. Mrs. Farr was the recipient of many j pretty gitts and best wishes for many ( happy returns of the dav. I |
