Show APPEAL TAKEN FROM TOE WESEfi CQUWTY DRAFT BHD The action of the Weber county draft board in classifying in Class 1 Franklin Hickenlooper and Edwin Ew-1 ins Smith has been appealed to the district board by the draftees through Charles L. Farr, federal appeal agent for this district. Hickenlooper's appeal ap-peal is based on the claim that he is a ' married man and employe of state. He was married since the date of registration reg-istration but was engaged to be mar-i mar-i ried before that time, he says. He also declares his wife is in a delicate condition. con-dition. Hickenlooper is a steward, athletic coach, vocal instructor and j clerk at the state industrial school. He claims also that he was rejected for military service because of his poor eyesight when he tried to enlist voluntarily volun-tarily some months ago. Smith's claim la based on agricultural agricul-tural and industrial grounds. He operates op-erates a farm and a dairy. |
