Show BOX ELDER SCHOOL TO FRAME PICTURES DF SOLDIER BOYS BRIGHAM CITY. April 12. The BOX Elder high school in perhaps one Of the hnsii 3fl1 institutions Id Box Elder Eld-er eountv, the.se last days of srhool A committee of students is assembling photograph of all the members of that school in the past three or four years who have joined the colors. When assembled completely, the photographs pho-tographs will be placed in a cabinet in the lobby of the building. Preparations are under wiv for the final teachers' Institute which will be held Saturday. The principal speaker ai i his. the last meeting of Box Elder county teaches durlnp the present school season, will be Dr. E. G. Gow-ans. Gow-ans. state superintendent of public instruction. in-struction. The Elson Art exhibit will be at the high school some time during the present pres-ent month, and the exhibit is being looked forward to as one of the big even's of the past school year, inasmuch inas-much as It will contain many novel features a? well as representing all the great periods in art. In the baseball series conducted in the school, the season having come to a closo. the seniors won first place, with i he Juniors and sophomores following. fol-lowing. The high school will likely take up the study of gardening under the Smiths -Hughes act. This work Is in charge of B. Nichols, the new Instructor Instruc-tor in agriculture, succeeding Russell Ensign. The Box Elder high school expects to turn out a good class of stenographers. stenograph-ers. This department has received special attention by the principal during dur-ing the past few weeks, and an effort will be made to graduate as large a class as possible in order to aid in the present shortage of typists. |
