Show 4-1! Ciub Hews THE HAPPY CLUB On July 7, the Happy Club met at the home of our leader, Mrs. Ursulla Bird, where we made deviled eggs, eggnog and muffins. Our officers ar-e: Daphene Lisonbee, president; LaRae Mo-sen, Mo-sen, vice president; June Powell secietary-treasurer; Marilyn At-wood, At-wood, reporter. Marilyn Atwood, reporter THE TASTY COOKERS The Tasty Cookers had a slumber party. Each one had to furnish something. There are eight in the club and only six showed up. ; Our teacher, Mrs. Bracken, furnished a watermelon. We had a lot of fun. Judy Hall, reporter JOLLY STITCHERS Our last meeting was held I Thursday, July 6, at the home of Mrs. Erma Anderton. Janice Anderton was assigned as-signed to give a demonstration on how to thread a machine at the next club meeting, sched uled for Wednesday, July 12, 'at 2 p. m. We worked on our dresses, and are supposed to start on children's clothing next time. Mrs. Anderton served refreshments. refresh-ments. At our meeting July 20 we finished our dresses. Some of us got started on our articles for children. Thursday morning- we are going go-ing to have our teeth examined by the local dentist. We are going go-ing to have club early and then go swimming. Joyce Hall, reporter JAUNTY JEANS Three members of the Jaunty Jeans 4-H club met June 22 at , the home of Leola Freston. Our demonstrations were postponed until a later date. Joyce Burr was chosen to represent rep-resent our club at the older 4-H club camp at Logan. ! The rest of the time was spent sewing. Sewing on our tailored vool dress began this week.' The latter part of club was spent in dancing. We feel that Joyce Burr represented rep-resented our area very well at Logan. She was named secre- ' tary of the encampment, which was attended by more than 100 ' older 4-H boys and girls from northern Utah counties. I Club was held at 9 a.m. July) 13. Inez Houtz was honored at! a birthday party. I The Jaunty Jeans rnet at 10, o'clock Thursday morning, June I 13 for their regular meeting. A new member has joined our club, making the enrollment seven. . . Most of the time was spent in a business discussion and singing. Joyce and Ruth Burr gave a color demonstration. Our next meeting will be held Wednesday July 19. In conclusion we held a salad luncheon in honor of Inez Houtz birthday. Ruth Bur,r, reporter BUSY BAKERS We held our meeting July 21 and made biscuits and gravy. We made cheese roll-ups and baking powder biscuits that were rated excellent. Then we made two kinds of gravy, and it was rated excellent. There were 9 members present. pres-ent. Maurine Ivory, reporter SMALL FRYE We held our meeting at the home of Mrs. Sullivan. We made : cinnamon toast, french toast. and orange toast. - They were all rated excellent. We have changed our schedule sched-ule of meetings to Tuesdays instead in-stead of Saturdays. Mary Ivory, reporter NIMBLE THIMBLE CLUB I We met July 18 at the home of Joan Lawson. The health i lesson was given v by Joan. The reit of the time we worked on our dresses. Meeting was held Tuesday instead in-stead of Wednesday, because Wednesday we attended a party in Uinta canyon given by the Crescent Tailorettes. Joan Lawson, V. Pres. Y. Y. COOKING KIDS We met last Monday at the home of our leader. Meeting : was called to order by President Presi-dent Louise Gentry, after which we started to cook. Team 1, Rovona Campbell and Louise Gentry made cheese roll-ups; team 2, June Hardman and Jeanette L o w r y, made cheese rarebit; and team 3, Joe Lene Robison, prepared cream ' of tomato soup.
