Show Tribal Ho, 2 Still Basin's Biggest Question Mark; Shows 'Promising' The Ute Tribal No. 2 well. Verne Farmer, Carter Oil geologist, ge-ologist, Vernal, reports that drill stem tests conducted early this week,- later labeled "miss-runs," uncovered several more promising promis-ing oil shows, but no conclusive results were obtainable. An early drill stem test, from 9,083-9,102 feet, recovered 4,750 feet of oil and 500 feet of water cushion. The crew then cored (Thursday, July Ju-ly 20) at 9,102-51 feet, recovering recover-ing 47 feet of oil shale. Another An-other drill stem test, from 9,113-89 9,113-89 feet, recovered 10 feet oil, 500 feet water cushion, and 4,980 feet slightly oil and gas cut drilling mud. The test was open 1 hr 39 min., with the packer failing after 1 hr. 10 min. Gas came to the surface in 39 minutes. A final attempted drill-stem , test last week-end, from 9,117-89 feet, open 45 minutes, recovered ' 180 feet of 10 per cent oil and gas cut mud. 111 ' The Bluebell well, SW NE Sec 6-1S-2W, still remains quiet with no substantial results reported. re-ported. Drillers are now past the 1 600 ft. mark at the Jack A. Burnett No. 1 well, (Strawberry reservoir), SW SW Sec 34-4S-11W. Last week the crew cored at 1,607-20 feet, recovering Id feet sand and shale. |
