Further Telephone Action Held Up Five hundred forty-one farmers farm-ers have signed up under the rural telephone program, but no further action can be taken until Claude Wickard, REA administrator, ad-ministrator, approves the Uintah Uin-tah Basin Telephone Cooperative Cooper-ative Inc.'s application, according accord-ing the Farmers Un,ion officials. For this reason the Union urges all interested civic groups and individuals to apply pressure pres-sure toward getting this application appli-cation approved. Farmers interested in acquiring acquir-ing a rural telephone and who have not yet applied, should contact Farmers Union officials immediately.
