Show One-Third Of County Budget Expended During First Six Months Merrell Less than one-third of the Duchesne county budget was expended in the first six months of 1950, according to Porter L. Merrell, county clerk. This is the first year in the history of Duchesne county that no fund was budgeted for bonds, interest, and sinking. The bonded bond-ed indebtedness against Duchesne Du-chesne county was fully liquidated liqui-dated during the latter part of 1949, Mr. Merrell said. A total of $45,191.86 was spent through June 30, representing repre-senting 32.93 per cent of the 1950 budget of $139,425. Remaining Re-maining is a balance of $93,-505.14. $93,-505.14. The largest items of expendi- ture have been from the general gen-eral fund. Of this account 43.57 per cent has been - expended, or $23,191.21 out of the total fund of $53,225. None of the following funds have been spent: airports, $2,-000; $2,-000; jury and witness, $2,000; bee inspection, $125; and auditing audit-ing purposes, $400. Thirty-one items were listed for budget expenditures. Only $16,247.30 has been -spent out of the $70,000 road and bridge fund set up by the county. Last month $6,000 of this amount was paid on the purchase price of a new caterpillar cater-pillar tractor, which is equipped equip-ped with a bulldozer. |
