Show PROGRAM GIN AT WEBER COLLEGE A special Thanksgiving program was held yesterday at Weber college, both in observance of tho day and for the regular weekly assembly period. The speaker was for the occasion was Alva Scovllle and he delivered a patriotic pa-triotic address filled with common sense advice on food conservation and war-time economy. His topic was "Food Conservation, the National Problem." Nephi J. Brown, basso, sang two solos and the Weber college orchestra played "La Marseillaise" for the assemblage. as-semblage. "Savo a little from tomorrow's dinner din-ner and send it to the hungry people across the ocean," was Mr. Scovillo's parting Instruction as he concluded the address. Following the assembly, a large number of the students busied themselves them-selves in packing and wrapping Christmas Christ-mas boxes to be mailed to the former students of the academy who are now in training camps and cantonments. , |
