Show BOYSEATTURKEY AND liiK Soldiers at Fort Bliss Better Served on Thanksgiving Than Many Civilians. 12 I FORT BLISS, Tex., Nov. 29. More soldiers ate turkey and the "trimmings" "trim-mings" in the El Paso border district today than did the civilians living in the samo district. This was the statement state-ment of quartermaster officers here as every soldier'in the entire district was furnished one and one-half pounds of the light and dark meat of the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving feast bird. It required more than 60,000 pounds for the district troops exclusive of the largo number of soldiers from Camp Cody, Doming, N. M., who came here today for the border championship football game scheduled for this afternoon. |
