Show CAPTAIN CRUM IS KILLED IN ACTION Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO. Idaho, Nov. 12. That Captain John Crum of this city has been killed in action is the belef of his family, fam-ily, who have received verification of his death through correspondence. So far the parents of Captain Crum have received re-ceived no official notice that their son has been killed, nor has his name appeared ap-peared In the casualty lists, but a clipping clip-ping from a Richmond, Va., paper, part of a letter written by Sergeant-Major Leslie Jones to the News-Leader of that city, says in part: "And Captain Crum, we lost him the other day. A shell burst within fifteen feet of him. I was talking to him at the time, but by some miracle escaped. The boys took it pretty hard, as Captain Crum was certainly the idol of the troops." Captain Crum's father and mother and one brother reside In this city, and he has another brother in France. He was a prominent member of the Elks lodge. |
