Show POSEN FORTRESS NOW IN HANDS OF WORKERS' COUNCIL AMSTERDAM, Nov. 12. The fortress of Posen is In 1he hands of the workers and soldiers and the military authorities have placed themselves at the disposal of the council. There were exchanges of shots in Berlin on Sunday between soldiers and the few officers remaining loyal to the Hohen-zollerns, Hohen-zollerns, accordinR to advices from there. These exchanges occurred around the Central hotel and the railway station in the Frledrlchstrasse, the Victoria and Astoria As-toria cafes and the Royal library, from which the officers fired at the soldiers, some of whom were wounded. A number of the officers wore arrested, while others oth-ers escaped. Ten thousand railway men have decided de-cided to maintain railway traffic In Germany. Ger-many.
