Show STRUB BUYS PORTION OF RECREATION PARK SAN FRANCISCO. Nov. 12. Dr. Oharies H. Strub, president of the San FVancisco Baseball club, yesterday bought the corner of .Fifteenth and Valencia streets, which takes in part of Recreation park. His pui chase takes in the grandstand grand-stand and left field bleachers, and the playing field is leased from the Judson estate. . Dr. Strub is firmly convinced that baseball base-ball is due for a big revival as soon as the war is over, and that had much to do with his d'e term j nation, to close the dead. If baseball does come back, as he hopes, he says he will give San Francisco an up-to-date ball park in the near future fu-ture and on ground owned by himself. |
