House, the special representative of the United States governm tnt, sent the following fol-lowing message yesterday from Paris to David Lloyd-George, th-e British prime minister, on the cessation of hostilities: "Sincere congratulatio Pis. No one. has done more to bring abtujt this splendid victory than you." To this the prime minister replied: "Many, t hanks for your generous telegram. tele-gram. Nothing contributed more to the victory than the prompt .response of the president to the appeal I ' made to him for American help in those critical days." |
