Daniels, chairman of the interstate commerce com-merce commission, predicted today that nillrbad's' after "the war will" bo operated under either entire government management manage-ment and con trot or private management with government supervision of financing and elimination of competitive waste. He i was speaking before the annual meeting of the -National Association of Railway and Utilities commissioners, a body of state representatives. Chairman Daniels expressed doubt that the present government management without ownership could be continued satisfactorily in peace times. With restoration resto-ration of private management, he said, competitive waste should b eliminated by perpetuating the railroad administration's administra-tion's plan for curtailing unnecessary passenger pas-senger train schedules on parallel roads, and hauling freight over the shortest routes, regardless of Us origin.
