Show . : i M.H.S. Operetta Pleases Audience Following a lapse of a year in the presentation of operettas by the high school music department under Director Alvin H. Baker, "The Magazine Princess" was given Wednesday evening of this week to a large audience of interested inter-ested local people, this performance perform-ance having been preceded with a matinee for elementary school children Tuesday afternon.- The operetta, though perhaps not as tuneful as some others that have been presented, was exceptionally excep-tionally well cast and showed a lot of work done by Mr. Baker and his oassistants. The dancing, of j which there were six or seven different dif-ferent group numbers, was outstanding out-standing and reflected a high de-: gree of credit on Miss Josephine White, who had charge of this work. Those who took the principal parts in the cast of 120 boys and girls were Marjorie Casterline, j Don Elmer, Jess McKnight, Philip Carlisle, Ruth Berry, Dan Gillies, Jim Hickman, Virginia Ryan, Jean Moore, Alyce Griffiths, Bill Kirk and Theo Zabriskie. |
