Show u In the good old days it was customary to build banks elevated ele-vated several steps above the side walk. All modem store ' buildings are built on a street level. The only builder who persists in building the obsolete type of buildings, raised several steps above the side walk, is the person who designs Uncle Sam's postoffices. The postoffice department does not have to consult the wishes of its patrons in regard to climbing climb-ing a flight of steps to buy a stamp because it has no competition com-petition and even has a law making it illegal for a private firm to enter into competition with it. o |
