Show ANNUAL OUTING OF MODERN J000IN The annual outing of the Ogden and Salt Lake camps of Modern Woodmen of America at Lagoon yesterday was one of the most enjoyablo picnics those lodges have held sluce their organization. More than 1,000 members mem-bers were present and, owing to the rivalry between the athletically inclined in-clined of each camp, tho contests" were Immensely successful. The Ogden camp won the tug-o'-war in short order, the Salt LakerB being literally pulled off their feet by their brawny opponents. In the ball game which followed, however, the Zionltos were In the ascendency, defeating de-feating Ogden's near-players to the tune of 19 to 0. The oldest member of the society on the grounds was the Hon. Geo. M. Sullivan of Salt lake, and ho was presented with an emblematic ring. The 100-yard race for men was won by Mr. Gllberg of Salt Lake, the prize being a fino hand made leather belu The second prize was won by Johnson of Osden , The 50-yard race for boys was won by Wm. Nyler of Salt Lake, who won ns a prize a pocket knife. The sec-nnd sec-nnd prize was won by Fred Fife of Ogden; prize, a baseball. " The 50-yard race for girls was won by Laura Scms, the prize being a box of ribbons, and the second was won by Virginia Draney of Ogden, the prize being a box of candy. The race for Royal Neighbors wis won by Mrs. Myers ot Ogden, the prize being a large bottle of perfume. The second was won by Mrs. C M Ramcy, the prize being a box of linen handkerchiefs. The prizo waltz was won by Mr Alma Langlols and Mrs LethbridW both of Ogden. The prize for tho laay was a fine hand-painted plate, and the gent's prize was a shaving outfit During the evening, Geo.
