Show RED DEVIL IS GIVEN THE CONTRACT Pursuant to the policy that he announced an-nounced when awarded the contracts for street paving in Salt Lake recently recent-ly and in which he said he would, as far as possible, use Utah material, G. A. Henian, the St, Louis contractor, has awarded to the Union Portlnnd Cement company, whose plant is at Devil's Slide, a contract for tho cement ce-ment to be used In tho work. It Is said that the contract will be for 20,000 barrels of the material, at an approximate price of ?40,000. Mr. Heman'a contracts with the city call for work at a price of ?1SO,000 in round numbers In addition to using the Utah cement, he has also agreed to use Utah gllsonlte for the surfacing surfac-ing material.
