Show MLB'SMJUWETS New York Stock Exchange. N'ew York, Aug. 0. Stocks were stroug in today'fl early mrakct. with gains greatest in cerLnin specialties, some of which failed to hold. Reading again was the feature of the active group. Canadian Pacific and Southern South-ern Pacific were relatively heavy and Hill issues aleo ruled under recent best prices. Canadian Pacific moved up on reported re-ported foreign buying, while Grangers wore steady today. Steel reflected a similar condition, with copper under pressure. Dealings wero very light, traders evidently holding off for the crop report in the late, afternoon. Bonds were easy. The markot closed strong. The market Tas inclined to waver after the publication of the government crop report. Just before the close, however, an active demand for some of the leaders turnod the tide, prioes jn some cases being the best .of the day. NEW YORK STOCK LIST. (Last Sale.)
