Show Open House to honor Edgar Benson on 80th birthday EDGAR BENSON Edgar Benson, prominent Parowan farmer and livestock-man, livestock-man, will celebrate his 80th . birthday on Saturday of this week, according to an an- ' nouncement made by his chil-1 dren, all of whom will be hero for the event, or will have been here during the week. To honor their father on this occasion the children are sponsoring an open house, to ne neid at his home on Saturday, Sat-urday, May 1 between the hours 4 and 8 p. m. His home is located in 307 North 300 West. An invitation is extend-to extend-to all of Mr. Benson's relatives rela-tives and friends to call on him on that day. They ask that no gifts be brought. In addition to his fanning and livestock operations that have occupied his life, Mr. Benson has been active in community and church affairs af-fairs He has served as a member mem-ber of the Parowan City Council Coun-cil and has been active in the organizations of the Par-was Par-was Second Ward.
