Show North PTA lists important activities of year Officers of the North Elementary Elem-entary PTA feel that their biggest big-gest reward came from obtaining obtain-ing a traffic safety guard, Mrs. Yvonne Ashdown for the crossing cross-ing at 200 North. This has always al-ways boon a busy street; but the opening of the interchange has brought added hazards. PTA members also helped with school registration, Back, to School Night, a Teacher Appreciation Ap-preciation Tea, and the Lazy-eye Lazy-eye Clinic. The traditional George Washington Birthday dinner was replaced this spring by a PTA-sponsored picture-taking project to raise funds. They donated $25 to the State PTA Scholarship fund. Cedar City police came to the school several times to discuss dis-cuss safety with the children and to assist in bicycle licensing. licens-ing. The PTA paid for the printing of a bicycle safety course on the school grounds. |
