Show Final rites held on Tuesday for Nathan Alan Petty Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in the Cedar Third-Fourth Third-Fourth Ward Chapel Tuesday afternoon for Nathan Alma Petty, 87, who died of natural causes on Saturday, May 24. Mr. Petty was born on January Jan-uary 16, 1882 in Rockville, U-tah, U-tah, a son of Joseph Henry and Alfretta Dezett Petty. He married Pearl Edwards, July 8, 1925 in Las Vegas. He was a rancher and farmer throughout through-out his life. Survivors include his widow, Cedar City, and the following sons and daughters: Rodeo Henderson, Nev.; Nate, Guy, Mrs. Earl (Joan) Paddock, all of Cedar City; Mack, Hacienda Heights, Calif.; Mrs. Gilbert (Peggy) Alverez, Bell, Calif.; Mrs. Vein (Dixie) Stout, Monterey Mon-terey Park, Calif.; Mrs. Mike (Diana) Horrock, South San Gabriel, Calif. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted by Counselor Kent Stapley, and speakers were Frank Petty and Bishop Robert Ro-bert Overson. Prayer at the mortuary was by Earl Paddock, Pad-dock, benediction by Lehi Jones, and dedication of the grave by Albert Clark. The musical program included in-cluded a vocal solo, "Oh, My Father," by Dr. Blaine Johnson, John-son, accompanied by Loa Johnson, and a vocal trio "Home on the Range" by Julie Ju-lie Rindlesbacker, Ruth Marie Mitchell and Raina Bishop, accompanied by Tamara Waller. |
