Dr. Eugene Eu-gene Ilolman, second from left was named as the Outstanding Faculty member by students at College of Southernn Utah this past year. lie is flanked here by newly elected officers offic-ers of the Education Association on campus, including Linda Adams, left; Linda Spendlove and Ron llolyoak. Educator, teacher named professor of theyearasCSU Dr. Eugene R. Ilolman, associate as-sociate professor in the College of Southern Utah School of Education, has been named "Professor of the Year" by the CSU chapter of the Student Education Association. Dr. Ilolman is a native of Anaconda, Montana but spent most of his life in Delta prior to beginning college studies at CSU where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education in 1959 Ho received a master of science sci-ence degree from Brigham Young University in 1962 and was awarded his doctorate from the same institution in 1908. ll.e taught in the Cedar City and Seattle elementary school systems, was a graduate assistant as-sistant at BYU, and instructed instruct-ed at the University of Utah, lie served an LDS mission to South Africa from 1950 to 1952. He is married to the former Carole Kinman of Seattle, and they are trie parents of two son's, Todd 10 and Clay 6. New officers have also been elected for the College of Southern Utah SEA for 1909-70. 1909-70. Elected as president of the SEA was Linda Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cle-mont Cle-mont Adams, Cedar City. Miss Adams will be assisted by Ann Tobler, vice president, daughter of Mr. and Mr, Glen Tobler, Washington, Utah, and Linda Spendlove, secretary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Spenlove, St. I George, Utah. |
