Show NEW FEATURE OF SAFETY PROGRAM One of the new features of the safely education program that has been added to the Law Enforcement Enforce-ment Department, Commissioner J. L. Balderston said, has been the addition of a motion picture machine ma-chine giving special pictures dealing deal-ing with the different phases of highway safety. Although the equipment lias been recently received re-ceived by the department it has already been shown to audiences in many Idaho towns. The -audi ences have been Parent-Teacher associations, schools and civic organizations. or-ganizations. The motion pictures are being supplied by large autoinibile manufacturers, manu-facturers, insurance association and safety organizations. The pictures pic-tures have been especially posed such as the motion pictures presented pre-sented at the theatres. They are presented in such realistic form as to give the audience the best possible instruction in driving and walking under all conditions. Members Mem-bers of the stae police organization attend the showings and make brief talks or answer queslons regarding the rules of the road which adult and children members care, to ask. Commissioner Balderston said that while the department has only been able to secure one machine ma-chine at the present time, plans call for the addition of two more machines and additional pictures wiiich will be shown in every community com-munity of the state before the schools and civic groups. It, is the commissioner's plan to keep the machines on the go throughout the year with the hope it will drive home to children and adults the principles of safe walking and driving driv-ing practices. |
