TICKS COLLEGE A.W.S. OFFICERS GUESTS HERE An afternoon luncheon was given by Miss Vallene Dunkley at her hor.ie last Thursday for the A.W.S. officers of " Ricks college. The ' guests were traveling through " Preston on their way to attend the A.W.S. convention for Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain colleges and universities at the Brigham Young university. The guests included Arva Orme of St. Anthony, Vera Cordingly of Ashton, Sara Woolf of Idaho Falls, Lucille Gibson of Rexburg, and Miss Edna Hicks, advisor from Rexburg. At Provo the officers were the guests of Miss Lucy Tanner and Miss Evelyn Carlson of Preston and their friends at the dormitory. AH delegates were made to feel very welcome and the spirit of friendliness dominated throughout the whole convention. Activities included an opening luncheon, for mal banquet and dance, scenic ride and breakfast, different panel discussions dis-cussions were held in the recently completed Joseph Smith building. This convention was one of the most successful ever held by the A.W.S. Next year the convention hostess college will be either Carbon Car-bon college or the Southern Branch.
