She was honored hon-ored at a trousseau tea given at her home last Saturday. She received re-ceived many lovely gifts. This young couple is planning to live in Burley, Idaho, where he is employed em-ployed at the present time. ' A shower was given in houor of Earl Smith and his bride, Lois Shrives of Franklin at Earl's home last Friday afternoon. They were married on Wednesday of last week. After visiting for several days with their folks and other friends and relatives of Mink Creek and Franklin, they departed for California last Sunday where they will make their home. Mr. Smith is employed at the Vega Aircraft plant in Glendale, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Urias Keller and children, Arden, Guy, Oril and Ronny, left Sunday for a two weeks visit in California. They plan to visit their children Mr. and Mrs. Percey Keller, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Smith and Mr, and Mrs. Earl Smith. A very interesting and entertaining entertain-ing one act drama was presented in mutual on Tuesday night, Nov. 18. All those present decided it to be very enjoyable. Miss Juanita Jensen entertained at a birthday party at her home last Saturday. Her guests were; Lael Jensen, Beth Keller, Bernice Docksteader, Anna May Wilde, and Jeraldine Nelson. They played games and had refreshments. A good time was enjoyed by all. Several of the local people who are attending college came for Thanksgiving. Among these were Miss Cleo Peterson, Miss Margie Jensen, Miss Karen Crane and Mr. John Bennett. Mr. Harvey Nelson who Is working work-ing in Glendale, California, visited with several friends and relatives in Mink Creek during his Thanksgiving Thanks-giving vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Jepson journeyed to Salt Lake City, Utah, last Saturday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Jepsen's aunt. Mrs. Myrtle Peterson and children, child-ren, Vaughan, Myrle and Margie visited on Saturday in Mink Creek with Mrs. Ada Jensen, Mrs. Maha-lia Maha-lia Jensen and Mrs. Theresa Peterson Peter-son and families. This visit was prior to Vaughans departure to the navy from which he has been on furlough. He returned to duty on Monday. Miss Merle Crane returned home last Tuesday from the Preston Memorial Hospital where she had been for ten days convalescing from an appendicitis operation. Wenzel Keller is home from Fort Lewis on a fifteen day furlough from the army. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wilde mo tored to Boise last week where they spent several days visiting twith relatives there. |
