Show Traffic Recorder Now At Jerome I A new automatic electric eye traffic counter is being installed near Jerome by the Idaho Highway i Planning Survey, it was revealed today by B. J-. Finch, District Engineer En-gineer of the U. S. Public Roads Administration. There are six similar traffic counters on important roads throu-out throu-out the State for the purpose of measuring the volume of traffic using Idaho highways. Since 1936, when the first counters were installed, in-stalled, there has been a general increase in traffic over the State of 14 percent, as shown by figures released by the Public. Roads Ad-i minstration. j The increased traffic of 42 percent per-cent since 1936 using the north side highway at this location was cited as the reason for justifying a permanent type counter. o . o |
