Show OTT RETURNS TO CIVILIAN PURSUITS i After working in special departments of the army at "Washington since May of this year, O. Yv. Ott of 1180 First avenue, and with offices in the Kcarns building, has returned to resume civilian practice as a consulting engineer. Mr. Ott first entered the mechanical engineering chemical section of the air-eratt air-eratt production and later wentinto the fire control instrument section of the ordnance ord-nance department, both being under army' supervision. The big problems now before be-fore the army, he stated, arc hr.w lo wind up the various lines of business and hew to release labor and cancel contracts con-tracts without disturbing conditions. The policy a.t Washington, he states, is one of gradual change, and the releases re-leases from service are ccmlng slowly and in small numbers. Some of the larger airplane construction construc-tion plants, he believes, will continue to turn out machines fie commercial use. Everything needed by the army to the smallest detail can now be made In this country, be states, and by spring the Huns would simply have been overwhelmed. |
