F.leven men aje "missing as a result of the British warship war-ship Cassandra coming in contact with a mine in the Baltic sea last Wednesday nijrht, according to an official communication communi-cation issued by the admiralty tonight. Torpedo boat destroyers rescued the remainder re-mainder of the crew. The text of the admiralty statement says; "Thn British warship Cassandra struck a mine In the B:ltic just lief ore midnight mid-night Wednesday and sank at I a. m.. Thursday. Kleven men arc mislne. Presumably they were killed by the explosion. ex-plosion. "Tne remainder of the officers and crew were saved by our destroyers." Available lists of British admiralty ships do not contain tlje Cassandra.
