Show Altonah Mrs. Elhel Beebe Ward Round-up vIqM On Tuesday 1 The Altonah ward held a round-up day Tuesday in the ward hail sponsored by all the organizations in the ward. The activities started at 12 o'clock ' witli lunch being sold following follow-ing a .rummage sale and bazaar at 2 n. m. D. G. Edmunds, of Salt Lake City, gave a talk on tumors and cancers at 4 p m. A Primary dance with fish pond and ice cream after 5:30 supper of chili, sandwiches, pie, ice cream and punch, after which was followed I a program and dancing in the i evening. ! A number from Altonah attended at-tended the Central Utah project pro-ject at Altamont on Dec. 11. Ray Lambert made a trip to Carbon county Monday for a load of coal. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Kone and family moved into the Le-onakis Le-onakis house Sunday. The Kones are from Salt Lake City, but have been staying with Mrs. Kone's father, George Mecham, for several months. Ed Davis accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dennie Ralphs to Roosevelt Roos-evelt Wednesday to receive medical med-ical care. Mr. Davis has been ill for some time. Howard Clark, of Salt Lake, is here visiting his twin daughters, daugh-ters, Arlene and Darlene Clark, who are staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris. I A number of people attended I John Deere day at Roosevelt 1 Wednesday. Orson Page, of Upalco, visited his son, Leo, and family during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Jacob-,son Jacob-,son made a business trip to Pleasant Grove Wednesday, re-tu.ning re-tu.ning home Thursday. Mrs. May Lambert and Mrs. Vernia Allred were hostesses at a shower Saturday in the ward hall in honor of Ray and Jean Allred. Bunco was played, with Alta Ames winning high score and Bertha Anderson, low. Mrs. Colleen Thacker was in charge. Refreshments were served serv-ed to a large crowd of ladies and girls, many from out-of-town. Many. beautiful gifts were received by the young couple. Their many friends wish them a long and happy life together. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allred and Mrs. Edith Allred, of Vernal, jwere overnight guests of Mr. sand Mrs. Jack Allred Friday. Jack Allred is building a new home for Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Powell. Mrs. Florence Carter, of Salt Lake City, is here visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mohlman, and family. Ward Evans, of Boneta. and Loren Stevenson, of Mtn, Home, were visitors at Sunday school, and speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Linford Max-field Max-field and family went to Salt ! Lake City Sunday to visit and I do some Christmas shopping. , , Clenty Ames, who is employ-I employ-I ed in Salt Lake City, spent the i week-end with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith and daughter, Barbara visited Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Stone in Duchesne Saturday afternoon. Bishop and Mrs. Lester Max-field Max-field and family called Friday at the" home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray, in Myton. Ted Young' visited in Roy a few days dpring the week. |
