Ferguson enjoyed a visit on Thursday trom her r aunt, Mrs. Eda Sego, of Denver, j On Saturday afternoon a love- j ly wedding shower was giyen at j the ward house honoring Mrs. ; Denver Long, formerly Miss I Mildred Duvall, a recent bride. An interesting program was enjoyed en-joyed and a delicious luncheon was served. The bride enjoyed many fine presents. Mrs. Naomi Jacobs and daughter, Shirley Kay. returned return-ed home Thursday after spending spend-ing several days with friends in Price and Grand Junction, Colo. Misses Luja and Lola Brandt attended the funeral of Max Cook at Roosevelt on Saturday. Mrs. Ruth Herron assisted in the kitchen at the Ft. Duchesne school Friday, in the absence of the regular cook, Mrs. Eva Rushton, Marion Hackford went to Price Monday to look for employment. em-ployment. Myron Brough took a load of honey to Salt Lake Thursday for Lester Schwobe. Harold Dillman went to American Fork Tuesday and brought Mrs. Lucy Duvall home. She had been staying at her brothers there for the past week after being released from a Salt Lake City hospital. Mrs. Duvall was hit by a car and badly injured in-jured on Nov. 8 when returning to her home from church. She is recovering slowly. Her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Mildred Long, of Vernal Ver-nal is helping care for her, A cottage meeting was held Monday evening, Dec. 18, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Manfred Arnold. The Moffat ward Relief Society So-ciety held a bazaar and lunch sale last Friday. A large crowd was in attendance, and a good time was had by everyone. |
