Show L:, ...J tv's4.M'-. " PAULINE BIGGS FINDS enjoyment in putting her energies to work creating scenes of art, including the vivid outdoor scene. Art, handiwork make hours fly Pauline Biggs is working on a seascape at her kitchen table, where the light is good for her oil painting. She took up this art about six years ago when there seemed to be a lull in her activities but she wanted something interesting to do. Her husband Gene insisted that she begin this new career which she now enjoys so much. for her mother also encouraged her to take up this hobby. Pauline said, "My dear mother is my greatest admirer and lives in the Cache Valley Val-ley at present." Mrs. Biggs has kept a diary to remember all the interesting paintings paint-ings she has done. This hobby is a great accomplishment for any lady who needs an interesting hobby. She is also interested in interior decorating and often assists friends and neighbors who need some advice. The Biggs have three children, son Steven, daughter Janet B. Brewer and daughter Kathryn B. Schiffman, all residing in Salt Lake City. There are two grandchildren. Other types of handwork also fill the hours for this lady. You might find her crocheting, knitting or even making dolls. She has planned plan-ned and is working at an interesting and rewarding life in her Bountiful home. She has been putting the brush to canvas for six years, specializing in seascapes. She has studied with Elaine Olsen and Leola Hatch in Bountiful Bounti-ful and really has become fascinated fascin-ated with this new career in her life. Painting scenery is her most interesting in-teresting subject to paint, though she tries various types of things which strike her attention. She is often commissioned to paint a special spe-cial subject for friends which she loves to do. Sometimes there are marble table tops which she paints with birds and other colorful subjects for everyone to enjoy. Her first painting was given to her mother for a Mother's Day gift. |
