MEAT BALLS 1 lb. hamburger 1 egg 2 slices bread, cubed Vi tsp. garlic salt Vi Tbsp. Parmesan cheese Mix hamburger with a fork, adding egg, cheese, garlic, salt, bread cubes. CEREAL COOKIES 5 cups any ready to eat cereal V cup margarine 1 tsp. vanilla 4 cups marshmallows, miniature Melt margarine in a medium saucepan, add marshmallows and stir until melted. Add vanilla and cereal. Mix well and press into a 9x11 inch pan. Refrigerate about one hour and Cut into squares or use cookie cutters to cut into various va-rious shapes. These bars are unbaked. un-baked. BROWNIES WITH MARSHMALLOWS 1 cup butter or margarine 4 Tbsp. cocoa, heaping 2 cups sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs, beaten 1 cup flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup nuts, optional Melt butter in saucepan and add cocoa. Remove from heat, add sugar and stir to dissolve. Add beaten eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder and mix well. Add nuts if desired. Pour into a 13x9 inch baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, remove from oven and spread about 4 cups miniature marshmallows mar-shmallows over, return to oven for 3 minutes and refrigerate. When cool spread with frosting made of: 2 cups powdered sugar 1 Tbsp. cocoa 2 Tbsp. margarine, softened milk to spreading consistency Mix all ingredients and spread. PEANUT SQUARES 2 cups flour 2 tsp. baking powder I tsp. salt 23 cup shortening, soft I cup peanut butter 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1 cup white sugar 4 eggs, beaten 2 tsp. vanilla VA cups coconut Measure dry ingredients and sift again. Combine shortening, peanut butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl of mixer. Blend at low speed, add flour mixture and coconut coco-nut and mix thoroughly and spread in a greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 25 minutes mi-nutes until done. Cool and cut into squares. SOFT BREAD STICKS 1 pkb. or 1 Tbsp. dry yeast Vi cup warm water 1 cup milk, warm Ya tsp. salt 3 Tbsp. sugar 2 Tbsp. shortening 3'j cups flour Mix yeast, warm water, sugar and dissolve. Mix milk, salt and shortening. Now combine the two mixtures, add flour and mix well. Let rise for about 15 minutes. Stir down the dough and pull off pieces of dough and shape into 6 inch by I Vi inch strips and place on a greased cookie sheet. Now melt one square of margar- |
