The game was almost all de- fense, with Emerson changing from their usual zone to a close j man-to-man defense in an attempt at-tempt to upset Bryan's applecart. apple-cart. At the end of the first quarter neither team had scored a field goal, however Bryan's Orion I Watson had garnered three free throws for the total first period score. Bryan moved up slowly starting in the second quarter and from then on they were never crowded. Orion Watson with twelve points was high scorer. Sea Scouts Lose In the ' second game of the evening the Sea Scouts made a determined bid for a victory but lost out because of poor foul shooting, sinking only two out of 14 attempts. The Sea Scouts trailed Hawthorne by lour points going into the last quarter quar-ter with the score reading 13-9. However by the rest period they trailed by only one point, 14-13. Hawthorne then garnered a field goal and a foul shot while the Sea Scouts missed three fou shots. The final score wai Hawthorne 17, Sea Scouts 13. Sugar House Wins In the last game of the eve ning, Marlborough surprised Su gar House by crowding them al the way," with never over ; three-point difference, and th score tied four times and thf lead changing four times in th( last quarter.
