Buckles should be fade-proof and rust-proof. Watch out for metal buckles which will not launder. Unshaped belts should be cut with the grain of the material or they will twist constantly after they are made. Cut belts on the thread of the fabric, either lengthwise or crosswise so you will have a true cut and thus avoid future troubles troub-les with twisting belts. Belts for cotton dresses should always have linings to give the belt body and prevent it from being rolled Into an uncomfortable uncomfort-able rope when worn. |
