We urge all Lions to reserve this night and arrange to attend this meeting. Holladay Lions met Thursday! April 10th, 1847, at Andy's in Holladay for .their .monthly dinner meeting. One of the features fea-tures of the evening was the initiation of .six new members into the club, namely, Kenneth Biesinger, Charles L. Cottrell, Ralph Fryer, Donaid Hacking, J. Richard Ross, and James W. Smith. We are happy to welcome wel-come these men into our club. Through the efforts of Wm. B. (Bud) White, program chairman, chair-man, we were honored by the presence of United Press Correspondent, Cor-respondent, Murray Moller, who 'spoke on the subject of "Is the Atomic bomb here to stay?" Mr. Moller was an eye witness to the Atomic Bomb experiments committee are to be congratulated congratu-lated on a good job well done. May we congratulate the following fol-lowing Lions who celebrate birthdays this month. Geo. B. Kohlert, Dr. S. S. Kunz, J. A. Ottenheimer,, 'Leland Tuft, Geo. Cardwell, W. Vere Frampton, Hubert H. Nielson, and Geo. L. Crowther. May you have many , of them. at Bikini Island. After hearing Mr. Moller, one cannot help but realize the importance of the present discussions and decisions to be made concerning concern-ing the future of this powerful weapon. Thanks to Lion Bud for a very interesting, evening. Don't forget the State Convention Con-vention at Logan June 19, 20 and 21, 1947. Make a note of these dates .If you have never been to one of these conventions, conven-tions, you don't know what you have missed. The Orpheus club and Lyric Singers gave a very enjoyable and entertaining performance at the Granite high school auditorium audi-torium Saturday evening, April 12, 1947, under the auspicies of the Holladay Lions club. This concert was arranged to raise funds to light the Softball diamond dia-mond at the Holladay school, and although complete reports are not yet available we are quite sure that it was a financial finan-cial success.
