Show DUP REPORTS PLANS, DRIVE Three important announcements announce-ments were made this week by Mrs. Ensign Smith regarding the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. A new paper drive, of which Mrs. Smith is chairman, will begin be-gin Jan. 6 and continue for two weeks. Residents of the southeast south-east are advised to put bundles of paper out early on garbage days. "With the holidays over," Mrs. Smith said, "everyone should have plenty of surplus paper. Help the D. U. P. and yourself by getting rid of this paper." A worthwhile outcome of past paper drives is the beginning of the compilation of a book on the history of Salt Lake county, 1847 to 1900, by Dr. Francis Kirkham. This undertaking is being sponsored by the Salt Lake county chapter of the D. U. P. The third announcement, which is of interest to all members mem-bers of the Twin Peaks Camp, is the notice of a meeting at the ! home of Mrs. G. II. Allinglon, i 4423 Wander Lane, Jan, 9, at 2 p.m. |
