For 12 years Walter Wal-ter Goltermann, 44 years old, a native na-tive of Bethel, Germany, went to City College night classes to pass his leisure time. He was surprised, then, to be told he would be graduated, for he didn't know he had enough credits. His astonishment was increased when he was told he would get a degree of bachelor of science magna mag-na cum laude and had been admitted admit-ted to Phi Beta Kappa, national scholastic fraternity.
