Show Changes In Forest Boundaries Will j Affect Uintah Ureas On April 1st ! Changes in the administrative adminis-trative boundaries of three National Na-tional Forests in the Inter mountain Region will become effective April 1, it was announced an-nounced by C. J. Olsen, regional region-al forester. Forest boundaries under the new system will in general con-; form to major watershed drain- ages, Mr. Olsen said. This will provide "quicker, easier, cheaper cheap-er and therefore better yearlong year-long administration." The Wasatch, Uinta, and Ashley Ash-ley National Forests will be effected ef-fected by the changes. F. C. Kozoil is supervisor of the Wasatch Was-atch National Forest; James L. K. Jacobs, the Uintah, and W. D. Hurst, the Ashley. Major changes to be made are , Establishment of a forest ranger's ran-ger's headquarters at Tooele to administer Vernon and Grants-ville Grants-ville divisions of the Wasatch; transfer of Aspen Grove and Timpanogos Mountain areas from Wasatch to Uinta; addition addi-tion of Rock Creek drainage of the Wasatch to the Lake Fork district of the Ashley: transfer of the Fort Bridger District from the Ashley to the Wasatch, and transfer of the Duchesne Ranger Ran-ger District from the Uinta to the Ashley. |
