Show Temple Marriage Performed Monday Lynn Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen, and Miss Verlie Stanley, of Idaho, were married Monday in the Salt Lake L.D.S. temple, then left for Texas, where Lynn is being- transferred. Lynn, who is in military ser- i vice and has been stationed j in California, had spent a short furlough with his parents. Miss Stanley had been a guest at the Rasmussen home for a few days before the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Bracken and two sons, of Roosevelt, Visited Vis-ited Wednesday evening, Aug. 8, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken, and enjoyed Cake and ice-cream. The occasion occa-sion was Mr. Bracken's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Collins and Mr. and Mrs. Alma Collins, of Salt Lake City, called on relatives and friends in Ballard, Saturday. They were here to attend funeral services for Charles H. Pearce. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kettle and two sons, of Myton, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kettle and three sons, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle and family, of Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Max Gardner, of Rooseveli, all met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Kettle Wednesday evening, Aug. 8, and enjoyed moving pictures of Yellowstone Park. Refreshments were served later. Mark Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen enjoyed en-joyed a few days in Salt Lake, recently. Mr. and Mrs. Armand Wilkins, of Washington, Utah, are visiting at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Alex Sullivan, of Roosevelt. They visited the Ballard ward Sunday School Sunday. Tho Wilkins are former Ballard residents. res-idents. Francis S. Todd and son, Therold, of Salt Lake City, spent Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd. Jeanette Todd, who had : been visiting here, returned with her father. Mrs. David Lundberg and her four small children has gone to Logan with her brother, Boyd Johnson, and his wife, to visit with relatives there and at Hy-rum. Hy-rum. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell White and family, of Provo. were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alden White last week. They are former Ballard residents. resi-dents. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allred and small daughter left Monday to visit in Ogden at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Allred. Nor-lan Nor-lan Sessions, who has spent the summer here, returned to Ogden Og-den with them. Mrs. W. T. Swisher entertained entertain-ed at dinner Sunday for the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Scurlock and daughters, Dorothy and Marjorie. of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, Mr. Smith, Mrs. E. C. Coston and granddaughter, Vel-ma Vel-ma Pickup, of Randlett. Mrs. Charlotte Bartholomew, of Salt Lake City, is visiting at the home of hr daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Page. Merrill Bnmhall, of Prove, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger. His wife, who has been visiting her parents, returned home with him Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray N. Tuttle and family, of Provo, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines over Sunday. They also visited Sunday School. Mrs. Marjorie Simpson and son, of Salt Lake City, were recent re-cent visitors at the home of Mrs- Simpson's parents, Mr. and Mrs- Arthur Wiscombe. |
