Bennett (R.-Utah) Tuesday introduced a bill to give Ute Indians from the Uintah and Ouray Reservations, Reserva-tions, under government supervision, super-vision, to 36,223 acres of Uintah National Forest lands. Co-sponsor ,of the measure was Senator Arthur V. Watkins, (R.-Utah). Senator Bennett explained the bill would settle a long-existing dispute between the Utes and the government regarding lands taken from the government in establishing the forest reserve. Under the bill, a pending suit against the government would be dropped if the proposed program pro-gram was accepted. It would give the Indians the right to exploit the coal lands, under Forest Service supervision, or the Forest Service could supervise super-vise the mineral operations, with the profits going to the, welfare of the Utes. j .
