LAZY DAISY STITCHERS It was a n important date when the Lazy Daisy stitchers 4-H club at Bennett held its first meeting last week Meeting was called to order by last year's president, Donna Rae Hall The following officers were elected; Bertha Solt0n' president; Carol Jean Hall vice president; Kay Bowan. secretary-treasurer; Donna Rae Hall, song leader; Deanne Asay, re-reporter re-reporter t by ers Joyce Bolton and Reva Hall, covering the year's work, and we are all looking forward to , a worthwhile and entertaining summer of club work (Say isn't there some rumor about a trip to Yellowstone National Park on July 24?) Deanne Asay, reporter JAUNTY JEANS All members of the Jaunty Jeans club were present June 8 when Joyce Burr, president called call-ed the meeting to order. Mary Jane Kelsey and Betty Timothy, and a visitor, Nadine Clark, were also present. Mary Jane Kelsey was named song and cheer leader, and Betty Bet-ty Timothy, vice persident, to replace two of the girls who resigned as officers. , Verna Freston gave an interesting inter-esting article on posture and lead the group in exercises, after af-ter which sewing and games were enjoyd. Following the regular club meeting, a candy pull was held. We may not be taking a course in cooking, but the candy was excellent in looks and flavor. Ruth Burr, reporter JOLLY STITCHERS The Jolly Stitchers met Thursday Thurs-day at 2 p. m. at the home of Mrs. Erma Anderton. We learned learn-ed to make bound buttonholes. Mrs. Jean Snow gave a demonstration dem-onstration of pattern fitting. Maxine Hurley, reporter UNNAMED We held our first meeting last week at the home of our leader, Mrs. Arden Sullivan. Connie Stevens was elected president; Kay Timothy, secretary-treasurer; Maurine Y a c k, song and cheer leader, and Mary Ivory, reporter. We do not have a name for our club yet. Meetings wil be held each Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mary Ivory, reporter THE ROSY STITCHERS The Rosy Stitchers met Monday, Mon-day, June 12, and learned to sew' on an electric machine. We have two new club members, mem-bers, Kaye Timothy and Ma-linda Ma-linda Young. At our next meeting we are scheduled to learn to sew seams. Joan Alexander, reporter THE TASTY COOKERS We held our first club meeting meet-ing at 2 p. m., June 6, at the home of Mrs. Duane Bracken. New officers were elected as follows, with each club member mem-ber holding an office: Ida Andrews, An-drews, president; Tamera Roberts, Rob-erts, vice president; Joanie Alexander, Al-exander, secretary - treasurer; Judy Hall, reporter; JoAnn Walker, song leader; Dawn Broderick, organist; Karolyn Roberts, chairman of the party committee; and Mary White, Dorothy Harris, Kay McClel-lan, McClel-lan, party committee members. Judy Hall, reporter BUSY BAKERS The Busy Bakers met in regular reg-ular session on June 9, and made three kinds of soup fresh parsley, peanut butter, and tomato. to-mato. All were rated excellent.
