California, who is visiting rel atives and friends in Roosevelt. Enjoying the occasion1 with Mrs. Whitlock were Mrs. Carroll Robbins, of Salt Lake, Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Clem La-brum, La-brum, Mrs. Lyle Reynolds, Mrs. ! Orson Stevens, and Mrs. Elmer i Eldredge. j Mrs. Steve Bellon won the bridge prize and Mrs. Whitlock was presented a guest gift. JUST-A-MERE Lovely in all details was the delightful dessert luncheon at which Mrs. Grant Killian entertained en-tertained members of Just-A-Mere club at her home, June 8. Four tables were arranged for bridge, following luncheon. Prizes Priz-es were won by Mrs. Edgar La- i brum, Mrs. Ervin Wardle, and ' Mrs. Verleri Labrum. ! JUNIOR CULTURE CLUB Bouquets of iris formed an effective ef-fective background when mem- i bers of the Roosevelt Junior ! Culture club held their annual spring installation banquet Mon- ! day evening, June 12, at the j Frontier Grill. j Eleven members answered to roll call. It was decided that the clubs proceeds from the concession conces-sion stand operated during the recent race meet, should be turned back to the racing committee com-mittee to be used to improve the grounds. Mrs. Gordon Harmston installed in-stalled the following officers to take charge of club activities for the coming season: Mrs. Lynn Labrum, president; Mrs. Bert Burgess, vice president; Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, secretary-treasurer; secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Bill Murdock, historian; Mrs. Lewis Taylor, reporter. re-porter. Miss Beverly White and Jack Bacon entertained the group with a vocal duet. TUESDAY BRIDGE Mrs. Morris Lewis, who will leave in the near future to make her home in Coalville, was guest of honor when members of. the Tuesday Bridge club met June 13 at Frontier Grill. A delightful salad-course luncheon was served at small tables arranged with covers laid for twelve. Bridge provided relaxation, following luncheon, with prizes being' won by Mrs. Axel Birch, and Mrs. Vean Bair. Mrs. Lewis was presented with a farewell gift from club members. BRIDGETTE Charming hospitality prevail-eded prevail-eded at the Homer P. Edwards residence Thursday evening, June 8, when Mrs. Johnnie Cook entertained members of Brid-gette Brid-gette club. Clever arrangements of daisies dais-ies and snapdragons enhanced the rooms where two tables were aranged for a delightful luncheon, followed by an evening eve-ning of bridge. BIRTHDAYS CELEBRATED Mrs. Ned Bellon and Mrs. Johnnie Cook were guests of honor Wednesday evening, June 7, at a joint birthday celebration celebra-tion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvell Neilson. The evening's festivities got underway with a show at the Roosevelt theatre, after which the group adjourned to the Nil-son Nil-son residence to enjoy a delicious deli-cious supper. Joining in the celebration, in addition to the guests of honor were Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum, La-brum, Ned Bellon, Johnnie Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer El-d.redge El-d.redge and the hosts. |
