Show Union's Cougars ElopToffloab For Final Contest Twenty-six members of the Union High grid machine and their coach, S'ark Arslanian, left Roosevelt this morning for the southland of Moab to meet their league foe in a game that won't affect the league standing, but can have some affect on the record piled up by the Cougars Cou-gars this season. According to Coach Arslanian he is not taking his full squad to Moab, but is leaving behind a few, of the reserves for economic eco-nomic reasons. The Cougars lay their season's undefeated record on the line Friday as they take the field against an improved Moiab team at 2 p.m. They also have an unscored on record in league play to protect, so the local kids will be out there fully determined to make it a perfect year up to the quarter finals. Go To Fillmore The really1 big game of the year, and the one all Region Five, and especially the Cougars Cou-gars and their loyal supporters wiH toe pointing toward, is the quarter final contest with the fouT-times state Class B champs of Millard, which is scheduled to take place next Friday, Nov. 5, at Fillmore. If the Cougars can take Millard, the team they met here a year ago under the same circumstances, they will have done something no other football team has been able to do; in four years. Union will have scouts at Mt. Pleasant tomorrow to-morrow to observe the Eagles who will be playing Wasatch Academy. |
